We want to showcase the faces and voices of feminism. Why is gender equality important? What was your feminist awakening? What are the issues that matter to you most? How do you define feminism? Submit your text, photo, or video about feminism for inclusion in our Feminist Portrait Project.
Other submissions we’re interested in:
- Links to blog posts related to Feminist Coming Out Day or International Women’s Day (or any written content discussing a feminist “click” moment)
- Pictures of feminists holding signs or wearing shirts that say “This Is What A Feminist Looks Like”
- Photo coverage of on-campus or private events celebrating International Women’s Day/Women’s History Month
Though Feminist Coming Out Day was officially March 8th, we will be supporting student events and selling shirts to fundraise for Bitch Magazine throughout the entire month of March. Contact us at feministcomingoutday@gmail.com to form a campus partnership. For other ways to help our campaign, learn how to get involved.
(To contribute non-text media, please click “Submit A Text Post” to change the form setting to accept images or videos. Don’t forget to include your first name, age, and location as the first line of the submission!)
Because of the high volume of submissions and the need to moderate inappropriate content, portraits will not be publicly available immediately. Do not submit more than once if you have already received the confirmation that your submission has been received. Please check back on the website throughout the month to see your portrait published.
