I am continually awakened by feminism.  Feminism inspires me in new ways all the time.  I was a Women’s Studies minor as an undergrad and I am now obtaining my Master’s degree in Women’s Studies at the University of Alabama. Without feminism, these programs would not be possible. Gender equality is important to me for many reasons. It is directly related to my thesis regarding women in sports. Gender inequality affects my life daily. Feminism fights these inequalities! As a person deeply committed to social justice, feminism gives me the tools to fight for it!
